Description
Hyde Park Pump Track is an asphalt pump track of berms and rollers at Hyde Park Sports Ground in Bathpool, on the edge of Taunton. Built by Forte Trailscapes for West Monkton Parish Council, it is about 150 metres long.
The Track
- The asphalt track is about 150 metres long and was built by Forte Trailscapes.
- Berms and rollers make up a lap you can ride without pedalling once you find the rhythm.
- It was delivered for West Monkton Parish Council at Hyde Park Sports Ground.
- It is free to use, and the opening hours and rules are on the signs at the entrance.
Getting Here
- Hyde Park Sports Ground, off the A38, Bathpool, Taunton TA2 8DS
- The ground is shared with Taunton Rugby Club and West Monkton Cricket Club
- Reach the track by the designated route through the dog walking area and along the access track, not across the sports pitches, where fencing now blocks the old short cut
