Description

This 27km cross-country route in the North York Moors takes in the dramatic Hole of Horcum and the managed forests of Cropton. The ride crosses open moorland and weaves through deep forest on a mix of terrain. There are no particularly technical sections, making it accessible to most intermediate riders.

Like this?

The route starts from the Hole of Horcum lay-by on the A169 between Whitby and Pickering and heads into Cropton Forest before returning across Levisham Moor. Terrain is a mix of moorland doubletrack, forest roads and singletrack. Expect mud in wet conditions, the North York Moors soil drains fast but gets loose when dry.
