Description

Hillfields Pump Track is a compact and well-designed track in Hillfields, East Bristol. Bristol is a city that seems to be sprouting Pump Tracks left, right, and center and so is a proud beacon to all.

Like this?

It's close by to Stockwood Bike Park and Arnos Court Pump track.

The Track

  • The pump track has large, simple features on its five straights. Each straight consists of rollers and jumps and are separated by decent sized berms.
  • Within Hillfields Park there are two tracks to chose from leading from a central start area. A small pump track and a descending track with an optional pro-line.
  • The track is progressive in nature.

Other Stuff

  • The track was opened in late December 2011 and was built by Architrail.
  • Jimmy Taylor of the Hillfields Youth Centre was one of the main folks behind making this happen.

Get Pumping

Decent little pump track area.
With the addition of the new bowl pump track, Its much better and much more fun. The original trails are better for biking. They are steep, with tighter turns, long down hill section with jumps.
The bowl is mellow, but you can generate some decent speed and get some air. Ideal for skateboarding and BMXs. The bowl and the trails are both separate areas.

Its always busy from 5-8pm in the week with scooter kids and mountain bike lads fresh out of school. Thursday evenings is community BMX sessions, so its always carnage. Weekends is hit and miss, could be quiet could be mental.
Been a regular for a couple of years, never had an trouble with anyone or issues with litter. There are zero facilities - closest café is a mile away, closest toilet is in the shrubs. Though there is a car park which is free.
