Much improved, in fact it's brilliant!

You do have to find your own way around but Trailforks and Strava show most of the trails. The trails West of the main forest road are slop in Winter. Those East are steeper and sandy do run well in the wet.

Good points:

Loads of variety here. Mostly steep downhills on the East side of the wood and faster or flatter bermed trails on the West side. Some of the downhills are really excellent! Despite that people say it's just for locals if you find all the best trails in the Summer it is a blast! Some steep climbs so fitter riders or those on E-bikes will love it twice as much.

Bad points:

Slop on the Western trails in the Winter. No facilities other than free parking.

Cycles here for years. When it's wet it really wet. Beautiful scenary. Trails are semi natural so not fast but can get technical. You do have to share tracks with dog walkers so be aware (and courtious).

Good points:

For me can cycle from home. You can have a short blast or do some loops if you have more time.

Bad points:

In the winter it is boggy with no avoiding mud.

I enjoy riding here, it easy to get to, easy to park and is different every time.

Good points:

Brilliant variety of trails, natural singletrack, dug in trails and gravel pathways. Pretty easy to navigate. decent parking. This place has loads of potential just needs cleaning up a bit. Great place to go to just get out for a bit but you could easily spend a day there. You need to go and explore this place a few times to pick out a route that suits you. There are short loops (one of my favorites is less than a mile) and there are long trails. Plenty of space to stop for a drink and food if youve packed it.

Bad points:

Trails are a bit rough and need some attention and there isnt any facilities (if that bothers you). There are no clearly marked trails even though they arent hard to find. Th area is an active tree felling area, some trails have been over ruled by the foresty commision.

Would you recommend?

*Yes*
