Description

Hamilton Hill Freeride Park

Hamilton Hill Freeride Park is Lincolnshire's only dedicated freeride bike park, tucked into Willingham Woods near Market Rasen. Short but punchy downhill lines, a 4X course, a dual slalom track and North Shore features keep things varied, with tabletop and gap jumps to build up to. Riding here is by annual membership through the Rasen Area Trailblazerz MTB Club rather than open access, and the wider Willingham Woods offers forest road cycling, a cafe and a picnic site alongside it.

The Trails

  • Downhill lines: Multiple short, fast downhill runs featuring tabletop and gap jumps plus drop offs, each rollable or with a line to avoid the feature.
  • North Shore: Elevated wooden features running through the trees.
  • 4X course: A four cross style track for side by side racing.
  • Dual Slalom: A head to head slalom track.

Local Organisation

Hamilton Hill is built and run by the Rasen Area Trailblazerz MTB Club. The park is for club members only: annual membership costs ยฃ10 for under 18s and ยฃ15 for adults. Contact the club via Facebook or email to join before visiting, since there is no casual public access.

Gravel Riding

Willingham Woods carries an unwaymarked forest road network beyond the bike park itself, so download a route or use GPS navigation before you set off.

Beyond the Trails

Willingham Woods is a large expanse of Forestry England pinewoods with plenty of forest road cycling beyond the bike park, plus a free car park and picnic site. Sunnyside Up cafe and farm shop sits nearby for a coffee or bacon roll before or after a ride. See the Forestry England Willingham Woods page for the wider site.

Getting Here

Head for Willingham Woods, signed off the A631 Market Rasen to Louth road, postcode LN8 3RQ. Coming from Market Rasen, pass the Sunnyside Up cafe and continue for around 400m; the Hamilton Hill car park is on the right. The main Willingham Woods car park by the cafe is free and has toilets and picnic space if you would rather park there and walk in.
