🥇 Trail of the Year – Winner Announced!
A great bike park that is accessible for all, and for all abilities and skill levels. The ability to mix top and bottom sections of track and able to session your favourite trails. Great vibe and facilities with Cafe, Bike Shop, Bike Hire, Toilets, Showers, and Bike Wash.
Free to use the trails as the tracks are maintained by the Forestry Commission and the Dean Trail Volunteers.
Pay to park your vehicle, the centre has extended the car parks as part of the recent upgrades but it still gets busy on weekends.
Later opening on a Thursday allows for laps after work.
Inclusive atmosphere at the centre.
Good mix of tracks to suit all skill levels. Well signposted with skill level information.
Twisted Sister, Corkscrew, GBU, and TNT are my go to tracks.
Really like the recent Boneyard trail.
Excellent food and coffee at the cafe.

Great place, lots on offer, great mix of trails and good vibe with cafe & shop
Really like mix of trails and the cafe
Often no availability on uplifts and not able to purchase a few outside of a day pass so if my fit an afternoon this isn’t great.
On busy days it can be impossible to park
be great if emergency repairs was open in the week sometimes too

Great. Variety of trails and skills
levels, loved the 4X track, hated the parking and the parking fine despite getting a ticket and not overstaying my time purchased !!!

This is an outstanding resource for all levels of mountain bikers. Great facilities - parking, loos, showers, amazing cafe with seating inside and out, but best of all are the trails. My personal favourite is the Verderers trail. With a mix of climbs, burms, downhill, technical and jumps, all within the stunning Forest of Dean. AND it is FREE! Absolutely amazing and so lucky to live within 30 minutes of it. All of the trails are marked for beginners, intermediate and experienced, so you know and understand which trail is right for you. They are constantly well maintained and a lot of thought goes into their design to get that all important grin factor. Highly recommended and must be included in the best trails out there!
