Description
Decoy BMX Track is a BMX race track at Decoy in Newton Abbot, run by the volunteer Decoy BMX Club. You don't need to be a member to ride: weekly open sessions are open to everyone, with bike and kit hire.
The Track
- A BMX race track with a railed start hill, asphalt berms and straights of rollers.
- Run by Decoy BMX Club, a volunteer club affiliated to British Cycling, with riders from age 3 to their 50s and beyond.
Riding Here
- Open sessions normally run on Sunday mornings from 10am to 1pm and Wednesday evenings from 6pm to 8pm, with extra sessions in the holidays.
- An open session costs 5 pounds for non-members and 3 pounds for members.
- You can hire a bike, full-face helmet and gloves.
- Full-face helmet and gloves are required, with no bare skin showing. Ride clockwise, and under 12s must be supervised by an adult.
- Weekly beginner and expert coaching runs with British Cycling qualified coaches, and the club races at local, regional and national level.
- Membership is 30 pounds a year for individuals or 60 pounds for families.
- Sessions depend on the weather and on volunteers, so check the club's website or Facebook before you travel.
