Best the midlands has to offer
Not a bad trail centre, and is without doubt the best in the Midlands. Not "epic" in the way that afan and brechfa make you feel, and not as Dh orientated as somewhere like BPW. What is does offer is a decent workout in a pretty confined space, and the builders have done a good job with what they have. The lower cliff decent is good, and makes the pretty tough climb worth it. Rode it in miserable rain on my 29er HT and was at no point under biked, beware of 160mm enduro riders struggling on the climbs!Could really do with a shower / changing facilities like FOD as its a long way home muddy...
What do you like?
Combine FTD & the monkey to make a decent length trail
Good skills development through numerous boardwalks and rock gardens
Decent bike shop and cafe on site
What could be improved?
Lots of users = lots of braking bumps and the trail is pretty cut up
Some of the trails are quite samey, lots of switchback climbs...
