Burley In Wharfedale Pump Track – Burley In Wharfedale (West Yorkshire, England) is an under-construction dual-track facility delivered by the Burley In Wharfedale Community Trust in partnership with the Burley In Wharfedale Parish Council. Velosolutions UK is building the project, with construction now under way on a 10 to 12 week programme and completion targeted for late May / early June 2026. The facility will include a smaller balance bike and accessibility track alongside a larger progressive pump track for all ages and abilities. Also known as BIW Pump Track.

Pump Tracks
The project consists of two adjacent circuits: a smaller oval track designed specifically for balance bikes, scooters and wheelchair users, featuring shallow rollers and wide berms; and a larger asphalt-surfaced pump track with bigger rollers, steeper berms and transitions designed to cater for bikes, scooters, skateboards, rollers and more. The facility is designed to be a year-round community asset for the Wharfe Valley region.

The site sits beside the existing skatepark and basketball court area and connects into the wider recreation ground and parking.Initial works have included drainage and ground preparation, with track shapes now being formed before the final tarmac surface and landscaping are completed.

Events and Community
The pump-track initiative has grown from local consultation and fundraising by the community trust. The scheme has been in development for years and £250,000 has been raised with support from parish, trust, business and community partners. The aim is to support inclusive recreational activity, skills development, and community gathering. A key ambition is for the facility to become a hub for the wider Wharfe Valley cycling, scooter and skate community, and to fill a recognised gap in local infrastructure.
Location and Access
The tracks are located at Burley Recreation Ground, Burley In Wharfedale, West Yorkshire. The site is adjacent to the current skatepark / basketball court section and will be designed to integrate with existing park amenities and parking. As the project is pre-opening, access arrangements will be confirmed once construction is complete.
