Description

Bromham Pump Track is a single loop of rollers and berms on the playing fields off New Road in Bromham, near Chippenham, in Wiltshire. The village's older limestone dust track was rebuilt with an asphalt riding surface by Clark and Kent Contractors, so it keeps the same community spot with a smoother, all-weather finish.

The Track

The track is a compact loop of rollers and berms, ridden by pumping your body through the features to keep your speed up rather than pedalling. The existing track was reshaped and compacted, then Clark and Kent Contractors laid an asphalt overlay over a permeable membrane to make it ridable through the year. The playing fields give open grass around the loop for waiting your turn and taking a break between laps.

Getting Here

The track is on the playing fields off New Road, Bromham, Chippenham, SN15 2JB, by the Bromham Social Centre. Park in the car park there and walk across the fields to the track, a short stroll of roughly 150 metres.
