Description
Bradford BMX Track is a BMX race track in Peel Park, about a mile north-east of Bradford city centre. It has a start gate, berms and jumps, and it is the home of Bradford Bandits BMX Racing Club.
The Track
- This is a BMX race track. Bradford Council had the old track rebuilt by Horticon, with earthworks forming the berms and jumps, a limestone dust surface on the straights, asphalt on the berms, a starting gate and steel railings.
- The Bradford District Parks site calls it a premier league BMX track for riders of all levels.
The Club
- Bradford Bandits BMX Racing Club is based at the track and runs open and coached sessions, including have-a-go sessions with a bike, helmet and gloves to borrow.
- Session days and prices change through the year, so check with the club before you go.
The Skate Park
- Peel Park also has a skate park, so you can ride both in one visit.
Also in the Park
- The park has a multi-use games area, a five-a-side pitch and a full-size football pitch, a bowling green, a tennis court, table tennis, outdoor fitness equipment, play areas, a pond and picnic areas.
- Peelers Cafe, a volunteer-run community cafe, opens on a few days each week.
