Description
Bishop's Wood is an informal woodland MTB network near Wadebridge in Cornwall, part of a larger Forestry England block that also takes in Hustyn Wood and Grogley Wood. Expect natural, unwaymarked cross-country singletrack with some rocky descents and an estimated 4 to 8 miles of trail on offer. Bishop's Wood adjoins Hustyn Wood across the same fire road, so the two are easily linked, and the Camel Trail runs right past the car park for an easy gravel warm-up or way home.

The Trails
Bishop's Wood is an unwaymarked, natural network of twisty singletrack and rocky descents, built for exploring rather than following a set line, so download a route or use GPS navigation before you set off.
Bishop's Wood sits directly alongside Hustyns Woods and Grogley Woods, sharing the same car park and fire roads, so the three are easily linked into one longer ride.
Gravel Riding
The Camel Trail, Cornwall's well-known traffic-free path between Padstow, Wadebridge and Bodmin, runs right past the Forestry Commission car park that gives access to Bishop's Wood. It's an easy way to warm up, cool down, or extend a visit into a longer mixed-surface ride.
Local Organisation
Wadebridge Coasters Cycling Club is a local social cycling club that includes beginner mountain bike rides, though it isn't specific to Bishop's Wood.
Getting Here
Bishops Wood Car Park, St Breock, Bodmin PL30 3AN. From Wadebridge, follow Burlawn Hill to the crossroads, where you can turn right or continue to the top of the trail, taking the second turning on the left.
