Description
Bideford BMX Track is a floodlit, asphalt BMX race track beside the Pollyfields Centre in East-the-Water, home of the volunteer-run Bideford BMX Club since the early 1980s and the only BMX club left in North Devon.
The Track
- A BMX race track surfaced in asphalt, with a start gate, straights of rollers and banked turns, and floodlights.
- Since 2014 the club has rebuilt its straights towards national track standards and added mains power, toilets with accessible facilities, a perimeter fence and a clubhouse with a covered veranda.
Riding Here
- The club runs weekday evening and Saturday afternoon sessions, including a Saturday beginners' session with free coaching and bike hire. Wear trousers and long sleeves.
- Coaching covers riders from age 4 to 50 and over, and the club is Go-Ride registered with British Cycling.
