Description
Bath BMX Track is an asphalt BMX race track at the Bloomfield Tumps in Odd Down, owned by Bath and North East Somerset Council and home to Bath BMX Club. It is an open track, free to ride whenever the club isn't using it.
The Track
- An asphalt BMX race track with a start hill and gate, rollers and berms, set in the Bloomfield Tumps woodland.
- Free and open all year (the council). The club says "you can ride the track any time", except during club sessions.
- Hosts South West BMX Association races.
Riding Here
- Bath BMX Club runs club sessions on weekday evenings in summer and on Saturdays in winter, with times on its Facebook and Instagram.
- Open Gates sessions are open to everyone: 3 pounds for members and 5 pounds for non-members, plus 1 pound for timing.
- Coaching is run by Total Momentum, booked through Spond. Loan bikes, helmets and gloves are free in club sessions.
- Wear a full-face helmet, long-fingered gloves, long trousers and sleeves and closed shoes, with a rear brake and no pegs.
