Description

Troserch MTB Trails are located in Troserch Woods, an 80-acre community woodland in the Afon Morlais valley, north of Llangennech near Llanelli in Carmarthenshire. The trails are built and maintained by the Troserch Woodland Mountain Biking Association (TWMBA) under an agreement with the Troserch Woodlands Society, who own and manage the land. The network has six downhill-style tracks ranging from blue to black. Riding here requires TWMBA membership, which costs £25 per year. Membership is free for under 16s.

The Trails

  • Twpsin (black): The most technical trail in the network.
  • Main Line (red): The main red descent through the woodland.
  • 20 is Plenty (blue): The entry-level trail, suited to riders building their confidence.
  • Basha: A further trail in the network.
  • Two additional trails complete the six-trail network. Check the TWMBA Facebook page for the latest trail information, dig days and group rides.

Membership

  • Riding at Troserch requires TWMBA membership. Annual membership is £25 (free for under 16s). TWMBA donate £5 from every membership to the Troserch Woodlands Society. Membership covers public liability insurance and contributes to tools and materials for trail maintenance. Members can join group rides, dig days and the wider club community.

Getting Here

  • Troserch Woods Car Park, Llangennech, Llanelli, SA14 8PQ. The car park is at the northernmost entrance to the woods, approximately one mile north of the Allt roundabout at Llangennech on the A4138. From the M4, take junction 48 and follow the A4138 towards Llanelli. The car park is signed from the road.
  • By rail: the nearest station is Hendy, approximately 2km south of the woods. Bus services run between Llanelli and Llangennech. Nearest amenities are in Llangennech village. No toilets or cafe on site.
