Description

Smilog (AKA Smaelog) Trails, in Llantrisant, is a downhill mountain bike base in South Wales. It has a few DH runs and is maintained by the local community.

It is about 15 miles from BikePark Wales.

Smaelog (Smilog) Trails

  • There are two main downhill trails at Smilog (red grade). Popular sections are Blueprint and Pinball. The trails start from the Forestry Commission car park.
  • This is a push-up (on fireroad) Downhill base.
  • There are around 10k of hand-crafted technical, steep and challenging MTB descents with fairly moderate climbs in between.

Smilog Something For Everyone

Great locally maintained trails with great diversity and will help any rider develop. Thank you to everyone who maintains these trails. 

Great access to some cross country loops also, up and around the local mountains and landscape.

What could be improved?

Not always the best for speed in the wet months, but still  a great laugh and amazing fun.

Fab trails

Love this place. Well maintained

Car park can get full but that just shows how popular the place is

Smilog Woods, Llantrisant MTB

I would 100% recommend!!

What do you like?

Absolutely love this place! Great for all different types of riders! Some easy and some more advanced trails, good mixture!! Great fire road climb to start followed by a technical downhill trail. All awesome though and one of my favourite places to go mountain biking!! I would certainly recommend this place to any riders!

What could be improved?

No bad points!
