Description

Smilog (AKA Smaelog) Trails, in Llantrisant, is a downhill mountain bike base in South Wales. It has a few DH runs and is maintained by the local community.

It is about 15 miles from BikePark Wales.

Smaelog (Smilog) Trails

  • There are two main downhill trails at Smilog (red grade). Popular sections are Blueprint and Pinball. The trails start from the Forestry Commission car park.
  • This is a push-up (on fireroad) Downhill base.
  • There are around 10k of hand-crafted technical, steep and challenging MTB descents with fairly moderate climbs in between.

Such a great mix of tracks....get here and session to your heart's content 🤟

What do you like?

Fast flowing and steep tech godness...with a good few jumps to enjoy

No cafe 😕

Great trails for all abilities.  The climb up isn't bad either

Steep tech. Trails run good no matter the weather

Smilog 🐐

Best local spot in wales with the biggest variety of trails I've ever seen, steep tech , flow and jumps all up there anything goes 

What do you like?

-variety of trails

What could be improved?

Trails can be hard to find but once you get to know them it's the best spot

Great mix of steep tech, fast flowy fun and jumps from rollers to road gaps!

Variety of trails in a small location.

The log

Wood with steep sections - rocky, rooty, muddy goodness 😃

What do you like?

Steep and tech. Great variety of trails to choose from. You can session gnarly sections or create longer XC loops. Awesome effort to keep the trails open 👏

What could be improved?

Dog poo to the face 😟
