Description

Dirt Farm, previously known as the Black Mountains Cycle Centre, is a gravity bike park on a working farm in Monmouthshire, five miles north of Abergavenny. Seventeen named trail sections run across one blue route, one red route and two black routes plus a pro jump line, all built for mix-and-match riding, with uplift available alongside push-up access.

Like this?

There is one main blue route (made up of five mix-and-match sections), one main red route (made up of five sections), and two black routes (made up of six sections including a pro jump line option). There are numerous combinations to build a run.

Uplift runs Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and bank holiday Mondays, with the first uplift at 10am and the last at 4pm. An evening uplift runs on Thursdays from 4pm to 8pm. Push-up riding is available any time the park is open. Either way, you need to sign the waiver online before riding.

Blue - Intermediate

  • Berm Baby Berm has many berms including several switchbacks, finishing with a roller double that joins Full Moto.
  • Missing Link is fast-flowing, with step-downs and berms.
  • Rabbit Run is a rollercoaster warm-up trail packed with twisty pumps and jumps.
  • Superflo is fast-flowing with small jumps.
  • Well Oiled Weasel is twisty, tight and full of berms.

Red - Advanced

  • Moto uses the bridge as a start ramp, with jumps, tables, doubles and step-downs.
  • Outback is full of roots and rocks leading into berms and jumps, then steep down to the Bridge.
  • Red Dragon has a chute into a tabletop with berms, joining either G Force or Outback.
  • The Bridge crosses the uplift track, with a steep ramp for speed into the Moto section.
  • Wild Wood is a flowing singletrack with technical root and drop features.

Black - Expert

  • Bompah is full of step-ups and step-down jumps with gaps, best ridden fast, finishing with a trail gap and a bridge drop.
  • Brown Pow is natural, fast and flowing, with roots, rocks and three steep back-to-back berms down to the Bridge.
  • G Force is a fast-flowing black line of big roots, rocks, step-downs and step-ups leading down to the Bridge.
  • Ninja Alley is a fast alley of step-down jumps that can join Full Moto.
  • The Gary is the original downhill trail: direct, steep and fast with a few drops.
  • Tidy Darts is a fun, fast jumps section starting with a chute into three tabletop jumps, a right-hand berm and a step-down.

Pro

  • Full Moto is the jump line, opening with a step-down double over a berm into another step down and two forty-foot tables, narrowing into a step-down and finishing with two big jumps.
