Essentially a ski resort, but for mountain biking

More of this kind of thing please!

What do you like?

Amazing fun. Every run down is grin-inducing. Good variety for most skill levels and bikes. I mostly stuck to the reds and blues, but did try a few of the short black runs. Terry's Belly, Vicous Valley and A470 were my favourites. Didn't try Dai Hard or Enter the Dragon, cos neither my bike nor skills were up to that. Probably need more travel/bigger balls. Managed to cycle uphill 3 times and then gave in and got the uplift service. If you're very fit, you might be able to get 5-6 runs on pedal power alone. You certainly don't need a long-travel full suss bike to have fun here, but it does help. I was on a 120mm FS bike and saw plenty of hard-tails. Nice cafe. Parking included in the price of a ride (£6 per day).

What could be improved?

Uplift service seems a little expensive (~£30 for a day pass, or £4 a pop). Be warned - if you have the slightest mechanical weakness in your bicycle, this place will tear it apart with minimal sympathy. Your hands and wrists will hurt!

Would you recommend?

Yes
