Pollok Country Park
Pollok Country Park's mountain bike trails, known locally as the Glasgow Mountain Bike Circuit, sit in South Glasgow within Glasgow's largest park. Glasgow City Council has waymarked a Green, Blue and Red circuit totalling around 3km, designed so the three loops can be linked together into longer rides.

The Trails
- The three graded loops interconnect, so you can mix and match: start on the Green, climb the Blue halfway, cut across onto the Red, then finish the second half of the Blue back down to the Green.
- Green: a family-friendly circuit and a good warm-up for riders of any level.
- Blue: steeper, with off-camber and rooty sections and a few rollable jumps.
- Red: faster singletrack with constructed features including North Shore, berms and drop-offs.
- The park also holds further unwaymarked dirt lines around the circuit. These are informal, not part of the managed trail network, so ride them within your ability.
Facilities
Pollok Country Park has a car park, toilets and a cafe around the Burrell Collection and Pollok House, a short ride from the MTB circuit itself.
Getting Here
- The nearest parking to the Green and Blue trailhead is in Bellahouston, Glasgow, G41 4SN.
- Further parking is available at Pollok House and the Burrell Collection, elsewhere in the park.
- Cycle: National Cycle Network Routes 7 and 75 run through the park.
- Rail: bikes are permitted on trains to Pollokshaws West, on the Glasgow Central to Barrhead and East Kilbride lines. Shawlands and Pollokshaws East, on the Cathcart Circle line, are also a short ride from the park.
