Description
Nevis Range Mountain Bike Centre sits on the Nevis Range in the Lochaber region, 7 miles north of Fort William in the Scottish Highlands. The resort offers gondola-accessed downhill and flow trails, including the UK's only World Cup DH track, alongside a network of cross-country trails in the lower Leanachan Forest. Gondola uplift runs on selected days - always check the Mountain Report before travelling.

Gondola-Accessed Trails
- World Cup Downhill (Orange): The UK's only UCI World Cup DH track. 2.82km with 555m descent. Steep and fast, with rock gardens, tight corners, big jumps, drops, shore, and exposed woodland sections. Ends in the Nevis Range car park. Open approximately March to September, closed on race days and in bad weather. Gondola access only.
- Top Chief (Black): Gondola-accessed. Features drops, rock slabs, and fast boardwalk.
- Nevis Blue Doon (Blue): Gondola-accessed flow trail, described as the longest blue in the UK. Suited to intermediate riders looking for sustained flow.
- Berminator (Blue): A lower blue-graded flow trail serving as the official finish to the Blue Doon.
Lower Forest Witch's Trails
Open all year round from the Nevis Range car park.
- The Voodoo (Blue): A flowing trail with berms and rolling descents suited to developing riders.
- Blue Adder (Blue): 3.1km. A mix of wide singletrack and gently bermed boardwalk with flowing twists and turns. Includes a 2km forest road climb followed by a 1.1km descent.
- World Champs Route (Red): 8.5km through Leanachan Forest. Built for the World Champs and World Cup circuit, with technical sections, tough climbs, and fast descents.
- Wild Goat (Red): Fast and full of berms. Links to the World Cup 4X track as a side option.
- Black Crane (Black): Steep, fast, rock gardens, natural and rooty feel.
- Cackle (Black): Steep, natural, rooty with rock gardens.
- 4X: Black-graded. Big jumps and gnarly turns; four riders can race side by side.
- One Dot (Orange): An entry-level jump line with gentle berms. All jumps are rollable.

- The Lochaber Trail Association is active in the Fort William area and supports local trail advocacy and development.
Getting Here
- Nevis Range is 7 miles north of Fort William on the A82 towards Inverness. The tarmac access road turns off the A82 - follow the brown tourist signs. Car parking is at the base station.
