I use this trail regularly and it's always entertaining. I recently took 3 friends from Leeds and they all said it was the most fun they had had on a bike. The fire road climb isn't too long--about 10 minutes to the top of the orange, another 5 mins. to the top of the lower red or the gentle singletrack climb to the upper red and black.
There are a couple of steep brown trails (used in the Scottish Enduro series) on the hillside opposite if you fancy something different.
Worth a trip. You won't be disappointed.
What do you like?
The upper and lower reds are superb, with a good variety of terrain and technical features.
Very technical black.
Fast and flowing orange.
Spectacular views.
Good opportunities for skills practice.
Excellent new cafe, showers and toilets are now open.
What could be improved?
I can't think of any although the addition of a blue trail would give it wider appeal.
Been here multiple times and it's been great each one lots of trail variety and stuff to push your grade on! Especially the black!
One time we rode in snow the Orange in snow is pretty good!
It's great trail check it out!
What do you like?
Few different routes you can pick and choose making a long ride or a short one
Cool features
Great view from the top of the black!
Nice cafe and and faculties!
What could be improved?
A lot of the uphill is on firetrack, some may prefer this but im a techinical singletrack sort of guy:P
Had a weekend here and loved it, if you do a gondola day at Fort Bill and then want a trail day tehn dont do the witches trail come here!
Well built and good variety, views of epicness - did I mentioned the views?
I love the highlands, and the natural stuff but I'd be happy with a day here anytime, any weather.
Do go exploring the natural stuff on the opposite hill if you like it steep :)

We had a great afternoon here with the weather in our favour. Thanks to the easy hill gradient we quickly racked up 30km which covered all the main trails and some of them two or three times. The black is very much for the skilled biker and some of the features there would merit an inspection before riding for the less competent or confident. We had to push round some of the obstacles.
However this prepared us well for the red which is perhaps a little more technical than most red graded tracks. The downhill was brilliant and flowing. The blue graded bike park was good, with some massive berms that allowed you to commit to them with the brakes off.
All the routes shared the same climb which became a little repetitive but it was handy having everything in the same place for when the bikes needed running repairs (rear wheel rebuild)

Car Park in easy reach for bike repairs
- Technical challenge. The red route is a hard red - rock gardens galore and the lower red section feels like a natural trail (good bonus). I love the switch back flow of the second section of the upper red but others I know think this goes on a bit long - also the rocks to protect the side of the trail can be rather unnerving (don't want to land on one!)
- LOVE the freeride orange at the end, awesome berms and table tops
- The black is meant to be superb - one of the most techy blacks around, not my thing though!
-Climbs are not too harsh so it is easy to repeat loops/fav sections.
- Laggan is remote (by trail centre standards anyway) which means your pretty much guaranteed a quiet day on the trails.
- Great little food van in the summer months (venison burger anyone?) check the FC website though before going to see if it open.
Probably the most full on Red and Black graded trails you'll find anywhere
What do you like?
Lower Red, Black
Upper Red descent rewards those willing to actually put excercise in to the descent rather than take the free thrills.
What could be improved?
Green trail is in wrong place and overlooked, although no tech can get some serious speed up and worth using for a warm up or single track hill climb training
Upper Red could do with the corners being bermed.
Facilities at present are a basic toilet and shower block, however new café centre has been approved for development
