Description
Dyemill Bike Park is situated in Dyemill Forest, just outside Lamlash on the Isle of Arran. It opened in the summer of 2024 as Scotland's first island mountain bike park, the result of a near-decade-long community project driven by Arran High School Mountain Bike Club. Funded through the Scottish Government's Islands Programme, Sport Scotland Cycling Facilities Fund, Scottish Cycling and DMBinS, the park is run by the local community and represents the first purpose-built MTB facility on the island. Phase Two is in community consultation as of 2026.

Red Trail and Jump Line
- The red trail drops down around the South side of the Summit with a series of turns into the start of the jump line.
- The jump line extends between the red and blue trails to a progressive set of jumps suitable for developing skills and decent airtime for advanced riders.
- The lower red descent splits from the start of the jump line to create a feature-rich trail incorporating any natural rocks and features available finishing close to the pond area on the shared finish trail.
Blue Trail
- The intermediate blue trail starts from the climb below the summit knoll. This is designed to be a flow-style descent trail.
Blue and Red Finish Section
- The trails all combine into a final finish section that passes around the East side of the pond.
- The last part of this is widened to 2m to allow 2-way traffic to the pond area.
- This combined trail allows the main trails to be focused further up the hill where the ground conditions, elevation and topography allow them to build more trails in subsequent phases.
Pump Track
- Dyemill includes a Velosolutions-built asphalt pump track set in the woods beside the main hub. It runs to around 110 m with an additional 40 m split line, giving riders a choice of flow or progression laps. The surface is smooth with well-shaped rollers and berms.
