Comrie Croft first timer...
Very friendly service and top quality gear for all ages available in the shop.
The trails were beautifully made, Florey and not to muddy considering the mild wet weather we have had this winter.
What do you like?
Turn up at the trail centre to find ample parking paid for by an honesty box system. We were encouraged to pay after our ride based on what we thought out ride was worth!
Great we shop for snacks, farm foods and gifts. General outdoor gear also available. Very clean and well appointed toilets. Warm too!
Bike shop staff very helpful and had break pads for my riding partners ten year old brakes. Great variety of adult and kids clothes, kit, equipment and tools.
Off onto the trails. We were encouraged to use a variety of loops on the trails to extend our day and build difficulty. We did this to a certain extent, though looped the Reds more than the blues. Just because they suited us better. The trails were grippy, built using 100% natural terrain. Even though this is a trail centre you feel like you are riding completely natural single track. The trail builders have made brilliant use of the natural granite to keep trails mud free and flowing. There are several challenging but achievable features and testing ups and downs for everyone from beginner to advanced. The views at the top were sensational even in today's murk. The red from the top has some pretty difficult sections that made it all the more fun.
Back to the bottom through the flowing tree section to use the jet wash next to the shop.
40 minute drive home to the central belt of Scotland via the excellent bakers in Comrie.
What could be improved?
None really. The cafe wasn't open today.
Didn't try the skills loop.
Would you recommend?
*Yes*
