Great stepping stone.
Well worth a visit if you are within couple of hours of Comrie.
What do you like?
Comrie's builders have packed a huge amount of varied trails into a relatively small area, so you'll struggle to get lost (if you do, just go down the hill). The black run is a good step between the groomed trails at say, Glentress, or one of the popular English spots such as Dalby or Cannock and the natural trails in the Tweed Valley or up the road at Dunkeld, so it's a great place to develop skills.
The view from "Decision Rock" includes snowy mountain peaks without an epic climb. I've seen red squirrels or birds of prey pretty much every time I've been there.
The bike shop is well stocked and the staff are helpful and enthusiastic, plus there's a bike wash. There's a little pump track at the bottom and eco-camping. The cafe can be busy, but the bacon rolls are great and there's a tap to re-fill your water bottle. There's also a shop that sells camping essentials including ice cream.
What could be improved?
There are toilets but I don't think there are showers. The cafe is closed at quieter times of year.
Would you recommend?
*Yes*
