Green Trail

The Green Trail is an easy, scenic loop ideal for beginners and families. Starting from the main trailhead, it follows wide forest roads and gentle gradients through woodland before crossing the Davagh Water and looping back to the visitor area.

  • Length: approx. 3 km
  • Grade: Green – easy
  • Key features: forest road, river crossing, gentle slopes
  • Best for: first-time riders, families and casual spins

Blue Trail

The Blue Trail introduces more technical riding with faster flow and rolling terrain. It begins with a forest climb and opens onto singletrack descents filled with berms, small rock features and smooth corners. Good fitness and off-road control are recommended.

  • Length: approx. 7.5 km
  • Grade: Blue – moderate
  • Key features: flowing singletrack, short climbs, rocky turns
  • Best for: riders confident off-road and building stamina

Red Trail

The Red Trail at Davagh extends for around 16 km and provides a longer, more challenging ride. A steady climb up Beleevnamore Mountain rewards riders with open views before dropping into a mix of fast descents, rock slabs, and tight corners. Expect technical sections and continuous gradients throughout.

  • Length: approx. 16 km
  • Grade: Red – difficult
  • Key features: long climbs, rock slabs, high-speed descents
  • Best for: experienced riders with strong skills and fitness

Skills Park

The Skills Park sits beside the main trailhead and offers short lines packed with boardwalks, drops, berms, and rock features to help riders build confidence before heading onto the trails. It’s also a great warm-up zone for experienced riders.

  • Suitable for: all ability levels
  • Features: small jumps, rock rolls, wooden sections, mini trail loops

Pump Track

Next to the trailhead is a pump track suitable for bikes and balance bikes alike. It’s surfaced and designed for developing flow and control skills — popular with younger riders and families.

  • Surface: tarmac
  • Style: rollers, berms and rhythm lines
  • Best for: all ages and bikes

Why Ride It

Davagh Forest’s trail network is compact, well signed and designed for all abilities. The mix of graded loops allows riders to progress through difficulty levels, while the setting in the Sperrin foothills brings a sense of space and isolation. Facilities at the trailhead include free parking, toilets, picnic area, café (seasonal), bike wash, pump track and changing rooms.

Location and Access
