A feasibility survey for the planned Wolds Bike Park near Market Rasen is open until 26 October, and riders can have their say in a few minutes.

Riders are being asked to fill in the Lincolnshire Wolds Mountain Bike Park Survey, which will help decide whether a bike park on the Hainton Estate at South Willingham, a few miles south east of Market Rasen, can go ahead. It closes on 26 October and takes a few minutes.
Colliers Destination Consulting runs the survey on behalf of the Hainton Estate and East Lindsey District Council. It says a possible source of substantial funding has been identified, but that it will probably not be enough on its own. Kevin Smith of Focus Rides, the mountain bike coaching business behind the idea, says the project has "potentially secured some funding".
What is planned
The park would cover 41 hectares, and the survey describes trails for all abilities, graded green, blue, red and black. Alongside them are plans for a flow trail, beginner and advanced dual tracks, a pump track, a learn-to-ride track, a café, bike hire and a workshop. The trails are downhill, with a gentle return route back to the top.
Planning so far
East Lindsey District Council granted planning permission for a cycle park on land off Donington Road, South Willingham, in December 2022 (reference N/164/00946/22), including trails, a visitor centre and car parking. In March 2024, after objections from South Willingham Parish Council and local residents over wildlife and traffic, the planning committee voted 6 to 4 to let the site be built in phases (N/164/02337/23). In November 2025 the council issued a certificate confirming that work on the permission had lawfully begun (03111/25/192).
