Take Care of Your Trails 2025 is nearly here, and this year’s pan-European campaign promises to be the biggest yet. Run by IMBA Europe, the initiative celebrates and empowers the mountain biking community to protect, build, and advocate for the trails we love — and now is the time to get involved.

Join a Local Dig Day
The campaign isn't just for organised trail crews. Riders of all backgrounds are encouraged to join local dig days happening across Europe. Whether you’ve never picked up a trail tool or you’re a regular on the shovel, this is your chance to contribute directly to the trails you ride. For UK-based riders, you can find local dig days and trail maintenance events on the iBikeRide MTB Events Map.
Put Your Crew on the Map
If you're part of a local trail group, now’s the time to sign up your efforts on the official campaign site.
Partners Behind the Movement
This year’s campaign is proudly supported by some of the biggest names in MTB: Shimano, WTB, Trail Tool Shapers, Specialized, EVOC, GHOST Bikes, and SRAM. Their support helps sustain not just the campaign, but trail stewardship across Europe all year long.
Awards and Prizes for 2025
To recognise the hard work and passion of volunteers, several awards are up for grabs this year:
- Outstanding Local Trail Crew
- Youth Trail Advocate of the Year
- Trail Advocate of the Year (Man & Woman) – nomination only
- Trail Accessibility Award
Crews who sign up can also win:

Why It Matters
Take Care of Your Trails is about community, trail pride, and shared responsibility. Every dig day helps keep trails safe, fun, and sustainable — and every act of care adds to a broader movement of trail advocacy across Europe.
