In a short period of time in the last few weeks a lot has been done already. To bring it to life they have resurfaced the main access route and the washed-out climb to the Cragg link road, refurbished the pump track profiles, and cleared drainage channels—progress that puts us close to bringing machinery onto the link road to continue essential repairs.

If you haven't come across it, Lee Quarry, is near Bacup in Rossendale (Lancashire), it is a former quarry turned technical MTB area with approximately 7 km of red trail and 1 km of black, plus a skills area and two pump tracks. Expect rocky terrain with drops, berms and jumps. Nearby Cragg Quarry is linked by a bridleway over Brandwood Lower End Moor and offers a more flowing XC-style loop. Riders often combine both sites for a ~15–17 km route, with wider connections to the Mary Towneley Loop and natural trails extending into Calderdale. See detailed ride info on the Lee & Cragg Quarries trail listing.
