Six Days of Trail Adventure
This inaugural event will host just 80 riders (male and female), offering a unique, intimate experience. Riders will tackle a carefully curated mix of natural and hand-built trails, with uplifted stages and transportation provided throughout the week.
All-Inclusive, No Camping Required
Forget the tent. Quality accommodation is included for all seven nights, offering comfort and recovery after big days in the saddle. Bike wash stations, professional mechanics, and accurate race timing ensure your focus stays on the ride.
From the Borders to the Highlands
Expect to ride across a range of Scotland’s finest terrain — from the sweeping Scottish Borders to the dramatic Highlands. Trails will range from technical singletrack through Caledonian forests to exposed descents across open ridgelines, showcasing the country’s geographical and trail diversity.
More Than a Race
Trans Caledonia blends Scottish culture, hospitality and community. Evening events include a celebratory ceilidh, rider awards, and locally sourced food and drink. Friends, family, and the wider riding community are all invited to join in the festivities.
Captured and Celebrated
Professional media teams will cover the entire week, delivering photo and video highlights that celebrate rider achievements and the spirit of the event.
Limited Spaces – Register Interest
Rider spots are limited and expected to sell out. To be the first to hear when registration opens, visit www.trans-caledonia.com and sign up for priority updates. A very Scottish Enduro adventure awaits.
Who’s Behind It?
This race was born from a shared vision between former downhill and enduro professional Chris Hutchens and experienced mountain bike guides and racers Katie May and Matt Hale. Having each competed in multi-day enduro events around the world, they independently recognised the gap for something similar on home soil. Now united, they’re combining their experience and passion to deliver the world-class race that Scotland’s trails and riding community deserve.
