Red Trail Upgrade Now Live at Glencoe, Black Trail to Follow

Glencoe Mountain Resort has just opened the new bottom section of its Red Downhill trail, marking the latest upgrade at one of Scotland’s leading mountain bike destinations. This new section is now live for riders as of 14–15 June 2025.

The new bottom part of the trail has both new features and new sections. It enhances the trail’s flow and structure from top to bottom. It blends fast, rollable berms with technical rock gardens, and maintains a balanced ride for intermediate and advanced riders alike.

Meanwhile, the resort has announced that the Black Downhill trail is currently closed for renovation. This expert-level track—renowned for its rocky, technical terrain and dramatic lines down Meall a' Bhuiridh—is getting the attention it deserves. The updated version is expected to reopen later in the season.

For those new to Glencoe, it offers more than just downhill trails. The resort also features chairlift-accessed XC and enduro loops like the blue “Nae Danger”red “Epic Glades”, and black “Loop de Dhubh”. Riders can also enjoy facilities like bike hire, a café, summer tubing, disc golf, guided hill walks, and onsite camping with micro lodges.

In winter, Glencoe flips into a ski and snowboard resort, using the same infrastructure to provide year-round outdoor adventure.
