Red Bull Hardline will hold its first British Columbia round at Cypress Mountain in West Vancouver on 17 October 2026. The invitation-only event brings the race to Canada for the first time, with 26 male and female downhill riders taking on a new custom-built course in the steep, technical terrain of Vancouver's North Shore. Home advantage is expected to be a factor in the debut edition. Canadian riders Jackson Goldstone and Gracey Hemstreet lead the local presence. Goldstone won Red Bull Hardline Wales in 2022 and took the 2025 UCI Downhill World Cup overall title. Hemstreet became the inaugural women's Red Bull Hardline winner in 2025 and followed that with back-to-back Red Bull Hardline Tasmania victories, making her the first woman to win two Red Bull Hardline events.
The start list also includes a UK contingent: Brendan Fairclough, Bernard Kerr, Charlie Hatton and Kaos Seagrave.
Other confirmed riders with recent Red Bull Hardline results include Asa Vermette (USA), who became the youngest-ever Red Bull Hardline Wales winner in 2025 at 18 and went on to win Red Bull Hardline Tasmania in 2026, and Rónán Dunne (IRL), a two-time Red Bull Hardline winner with victories in Tasmania and Wales in 2024.
