ChatMTB is an AI assistant trained on iBikeRide and the best MTB content
The FNY Collective has just announced their new initiative to help more people get confident on two wheels. Partnering with Scottish Borders Council, they’re offering a series of free beginner ride and mechanics sessions across Peebles and Innerleithen – with free bike hire available.

The ride sessions will take place on Thursdays, with both morning and afternoon options:

Ride Sessions
24th April – 9:30–11:30 Peebles, 12:30–2:30 Innerleithen
1st May – 9:30–11:30 Peebles, 12:30–2:30 Innerleithen
8th May – 9:30–11:30 Peebles, 12:30–2:30 Innerleithen
The mechanics sessions will be hosted at Durty Brewing on Traquair Road in Innerleithen, running from 6:30–8:30pm on the following dates:

1st May
15th May
22nd May
29th May
5th June
12th June
These relaxed and supportive sessions are ideal for complete beginners. The rides explore a mix of cycle paths, quiet roads, and off-road sections. The mechanics evenings – led by local legend Lou Robinson – are all about keeping your bike running smooth.
