QECP Trails: Fresh Upgrades and a Big Thanks to the Trail Collective

Queen Elizabeth Country Park (QECP) has been buzzing with trail activity over the past few months, led by the dedicated volunteers at the QECP Trail Collective.

One of the major projects has been work on the Snakebite trail. Following a successful inspection earlier this year, a newly built drop and other alterations were given the green light. With strong turnout at the February and March dig parties, the team have been able to push this section closer to completion. The plan is to have Snakebite fully finished and reopened before the summer.

Meanwhile, the Deerstalker drops have now been completed and the trail is officially open. A big thank you goes to the volunteers who made it happen!

The Collective have also been running a fundraising campaign to support trail maintenance and development across the park. All funds raised go directly into materials, tools, and trail improvements. If you'd like to show your support, you can donate via their GoFundMe page.
