Launching this Sunday, the new Boneyard red descent on the Freeminers trail at the Forest of Dean has been lovingly built by the Dean Trail Volunteers. It's a technical addition designed for experienced riders, featuring a mix of tight corners, hips, berms, and natural terrain features that require precision and flow. It's opening on the 4th May is themed Star Wars Day! Darth Vadar will officially cut the tape and there is am awesome prize for best Star Wars dressed rider! Pedalabikeaway and Troy Lee Designs have given an open face TLD helmet of their choice to the best fancy dressed rider.

The trail starts above the Fireroad off from the blue trail before dropping into a fresh line that brings something new to the red trail offering. It’s been crafted by hand over many months by DTV in partnership with Forestry England—continuing their work to evolve and maintain the FoD trail network for a range of abilities.
The Forest of Dean Cycle Centre, based in Gloucestershire, is a long-established UK riding spot offering a full range of trails from family loops and blue flow to more advanced reds and downhill lines. The centre includes a café, bike shop, and hire facilities, making it a solid hub for riders planning a day out or longer visit.
The Boneyard adds a new option for confident riders looking for a red descent with optional jumps and lips and full of berm to bern mayhem. Built by the Dean Trail Volunteers with their usual attention to flow and detail, it’s a welcome addition for regulars and visitors wanting something a little different from the existing red lines.
