Really sad news but the IOW MTB Centre in the Isle of Wight has announced that the centre as it stands with the current management is over.
Like this?
The announcement reads:
"After 6 years of running the centre with many up and downs unfortunately it has come time for us/me to hand up the tools and call it a day.
When we took over the centre in 2017 we couldn’t have dreamt of what we have created. Started out with 4 mates in the woods building some trails to ride.
Slowly over the years the four of us have had to move on with our lives. We had great times running the centre and wouldn’t have changed anything.
There is a lot more that goes on behind the scenes that no one will ever see, and that unfortunately is where the problems started to occur.
The future at Cheverton farm is very uncertain. There might be trails and events that occur on the site moving forward but the centre as it stands with the current management is over. We wanted to make this post to thank everyone that has helped us from day 1. With special thanks going to Cheverton Farm for allowing us to develop their amazing family farm.
With that said. There will be an exciting announcement coming in the next few weeks so keep your eyes peeled. Thanks for reading this far.
Matt & Team"
For those of you that don't know it the Isle of Wight (IOW) Mountain Bike Centre is situated on Cheverton Farm on the island which is just a few miles off the coast of Hampshire, in the South East of England. It has green, blue, red, and black MTB trails and tracks. There is a selection of both XC trails and Downhill tracks.
We thank Matt and the team and wish them luck in their next endeavours.
