For years, adding video to an iBikeRide trail listing meant one thing: a YouTube link. That has changed. Whether you're browsing on ibikeride.com or in the app, riders can now add video from Instagram and Facebook as well as YouTube, or upload a clip directly from their phone, no separate account or channel needed.

Why the change
Most riders who film their laps are not running a YouTube channel. They are posting straight from their phone to an Instagram Reel or a Facebook video, then moving on. Restricting trail listings to YouTube links meant most of that footage never made it onto iBikeRide. This update closes that gap.
How it works
Every trail listing has a Post Videos button. Paste a link from Instagram, Facebook, YouTube or Vimeo, and it appears straight away, or upload a file directly; uploaded videos go through a quick review before they appear on the site. To watch what's already there, open the Videos tab. If you've got footage from a recent ride sitting on your phone or already posted somewhere, add it to that trail's listing.
iBikeRide on your phone
The app carries pretty much everything the website does, plus a handful of things that only make sense on your phone:
- Push notifications you can set by region, so you hear about what's happening on your local trails without checking in
- Live GPX recording of your own rides, saved, uploaded or scrubbed after
- Quick photo and video upload straight from the trailside
- Deep links, so tapping a shared ibikeride.com link opens straight into the app instead of a browser tab
