You may have noticed some changes happening at the 'Leap of Faith' area at Gisburn Forest. Their dedicated volunteers have been hard at work transforming it into an advanced skills area. The original gap jump is being replaced with a more progressive set-up featuring tabletops, a new jump line, berms, and rollers. The lead-in trails have also been refined to make the approach more intuitive, clearer, and safer for riders.

Important: Please do not ride this section yet. It's still under construction and currently unsafe. We’re allowing time for the freshly shaped features and materials to settle properly. Riding it now could damage the work and delay the opening.
It’s shaping up to be a fantastic new section, but we need more trail builders to help us get it finished!
The next dig days are scheduled for 8th and 9th May, between 9am and 5pm. Whether you can spare an hour or a whole day, your help would be hugely appreciated. For more details or to get involved, please contact chloe.jameson@forestryengland.uk.
Our regular MTB volunteer group also meets on the second Sunday of every month to carry out trail repairs and build new features.
Gisburn Forest MTB trails are located in Lancashire and offer blue and red (with black graded sections) trails. There’s a mix of flow, tech, and natural features. Find out more on the full Gisburn Forest Trail Listing.
