West Mercia Police stated that bridleways within the reserve had been altered by off-road biking activity, resulting in significant restoration costs and disruption to the site’s intended use as a walking and wildlife area. CCTV has now been installed, and officers have increased patrols in the area. They’ve reminded the public that bikes are not permitted within the woods.

Trench Wood is managed in part by Worcestershire Wildlife Trust and Butterfly Conservation and is recognised as an important space for local biodiversity.
