The trail is aimed at beginners and younger riders, and the park says hand finishing is underway ahead of an opening it expects within the next month. The news adds to a busy period of development at the site, with the park's own website also referencing three new trails in the works for June and a coffee shop addition to the cabin, which opened in May.
Chicksands is a long-established bike park set in the Forest of Rowney Warren, with more than 30 trails covering a wide range of disciplines, including downhill, dual slalom, 4X, pump tracks, dirt jumps and singletrack.
The new green trail will extend the park's beginner-friendly offer, which currently includes a dual slalom course described as a recommended starting point for new riders, a skills area, and green-graded pump tracks.
