Deeside Bike Collective has confirmed that contractor CRC will be on site from Tuesday, 26 May, with works expected to take 2–3 weeks to complete.
Phase two of the project comprises:
- Construction of a new skills and flow area above the existing trailhead
- Creation of a boundary path on the east side of the woodland, forming a circular route
- A new, more progressive upper section of the red trail, “Dee Send”
During the build period, access to the trails will remain open where possible. The red trail will be closed for approximately one week while work is carried out.
Parking will be limited due to contractor access and site facilities being in place. Riders are advised to use Burnett Park or alternative parking in Banchory and access the trails via the local path network.
Banchory Woodland Trails originally opened in April 2024 in Corsee Woods, west of Glen O’Dee Hospital. The first phase includes a blue trail, a more technical red trail, an expert black line with jumps and drops, and a tarmac pump track skills area.
