Sisters in the Wild – Summer Gathering, Lake District, UK is a three-day basecamp event offering gravel rides from 20km to 70km, skills sessions, communal dinners, and an inclusive community atmosphere. Camping, vans, pods and yurts are available on site at Grizedale Campsite.
The Summer Gathering takes place on 5–7 June 2026 and features two days of off-road riding on Lake District gravel, ranging from forest roads to bridleways. Riders can choose between self-navigated routes or limited guided confidence-building rides. Evening sessions include talks, films, mechanics lessons and informal community meetups.
Standard tickets cost £125, including two communal dinners and access to all rides and basecamp activities. Subsidised tickets (£75) are available for riders facing financial barriers. Optional add-ons include campervan spots (£25), camping pods or yurts, and a full-day mechanics school (£125).
Basecamp offers tent pitches, van spaces, and basic pod/yurt options. Facilities include loos, limited showers, and a communal barn for talks and group briefings.
The venue is Grizedale Campsite near Satterthwaite. The closest train stations are Windermere and Ulverston, with onward travel by bike, taxi or ride share.
