As part of our Trail Academy series we’re stoked to be running a female-led session!
With the aim of creating a space for keen trail building girls to meet and dig together. We welcome all female volunteers who are interested in joining in and supporting the session.
This free session is a chance for young riders to learn what goes into making a fun, sustainable trail with advice from experienced local trail builders. It will include tips on efficient and safe tool use, trail inspection, trail construction methods, and line choices for flow and drainage.
The focus will be very much ‘hands-on’, with the opportunity to improve or construct a section of trail or a trail feature and then ride and tweak it. the session will take place in High Burnside, meeting at the forest gate.
Ages 12-16. Parents are welcome to join for the day. Under-12’s are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
Other adult volunteers are welcome to come and support/join in.
