What to Expect:
This is a social ride for anyone above beginner level and itâs worth noting that we will not necessarily stick to the easiest trails on the hill, we will explore whatever the group wants to ride- but you'll never be pressured to do something you don't want to do. Comer Woods is great for those who love a cruisy ride.
We will meet in the spot listed below, get acquainted and head out for a bit of a warm up. When warm and ready, weâll head up and check out some of the trails, then we can take it from there.
We will have a âlunch breakâ of sorts in the middle of the day making the most of the cafe onsite. weâll stop for a coffee and a bite, but if youâd prefer to bring your own food thatâs absolutely fine.
After lunch we can decide if we want to keep shredding or call it a day, you can always finish up whenever you need to.
Itâs a super loose structure; we wonât be rushing to get done, we wonât be pushing to tick off features, and we wonât be forcing anyone to ride anything they arenât comfortable with- the aim is to have fun and ride bikes!
No pressure, just good times!
Where to Meet Us:
We will be ready and waiting in the Comer Wood Car Park at 09:45, ready to ride for 10 am (weâre not going to hang around too long, so try to be on time so you donât miss the ride).
We would encourage you to arrive by 9:30 so you get a spot in the car park- other groups rides and MTBâers use these woods.
Ruth will be there waiting for everyone, so be sure to make yourself known.

What Should you Bring?
Itâs super important to note that we will not ride with anyone who is not wearing a helmet!
Other than that, the protective gear that you bring is up to you- we normally ride with knee / elbow pads and maybe gloves, depending on the conditions. Youâll also need a bike that is trail suitable, safe and in working order so we can avoid repairs at the start of the day.
Feel free to bring snack and whatever else you usually bring on a ride, and donât forget your water!
What Will it Cost?
The ride itself is totally free, we wonât be charging you anything for our company.
The Comer Wood car park is totally free for National Trust members.
For non-members there is an all day fee of ÂŁ5 per car.
We will have the entire day to ride, but there is no pressure at all if you need to dip out at any point. Our rides normally last between 3 and 5 hours give or take, but the needs of the group will be taken into account and we are more than happy to go for longer!
