SLOW MBO - Liphook

This is our 4th event of the 2024/25 Series.

Based from the Liphook Village Hall just off the A3 this event will feature part of the South Downs National Park where the three counties of Hampshire, Surrey and West Sussex meet.  From the lowland heath of the Longmoor Ranges in the west to the Black Down hills in the east the extensive network of bridleways and minor roads will get you thinking about the optimum route choice.

A waterproof A3 OS map will be provided marked with checkpoints. You will have 2 or 3 hours (your choice) to ride to as many checkpoints as you can and return to the village hall as close to the 2/3 hour time limit as possible. The event will use the MapRun App running on your Android or iPhone to register when you get to a checkpoint.  Results will be available as soon as you finish back at the hall where there will be tea and cakes to help with the post event analysis.

If you're new to orienteering and don't have a map board you'll be given a basic one to attach to your bike.
