A women's social ride aimed at red grade riders, hosted by SheRides ambassador Lauren. Nothing is too steep and harder sections are easily walkable; the group takes it easy, chatting on the uphills, but some fitness is required.

From the Grizedale visitor centre, the ride is a clockwise loop of approximately 25km taking in Parkamoor, 3 Witches, Breast Haw, The Fox and the last of The North Face Trail, on a mix of bridleways and trail centre trails. It's a long ride and definitely not a race: the aim is to have fun and ride bikes.

Meet Lauren at Grizedale Visitor Centre in Satterthwaite, ready to ride for 10am; be on time (what3words: ///storybook.could.gentlemen). More on the Grizedale trails.

Facilities: paid parking, café, toilets. A helmet is a must: SheRides will not ride with anyone who is not wearing one. Other protective gear is up to you (the ambassadors normally ride with knee/elbow pads and maybe gloves, depending on conditions). You'll need a bike that is trail suitable, safe and in working order. There's nowhere to stop on route, so bring plenty of snacks and water. The group stops at the visitor centre café after the ride.

The ride is free; parking at the visitor centre is paid.

Sign up on the ride's Plus1 page (no app needed, Plus1 emails you a code). Contact the ambassadors by posting in the ride's comments on Plus1; if you're running late, there might not be signal at the meet point. Open to women 18+; you ride at your own risk.
