The Wrekin Autumn Trail Clean, Telford - Trash Free Trails

The Wrekin Autumn Trail Clean takes place on Saturday 24 October 2026, 09:30 to 13:30, at The Wrekin, Telford TF6 5AW.

A free, community guided mountain bike ride organised by Recce and Trash Free Trails, led by qualified local MTB guide Ruth Finney. The ride explores the Wrekin's popular trails while collecting litter along the way. It is open to anyone comfortable riding off-road, from experienced riders to casual outdoor enthusiasts, and the roughly two-hour ride is about being social and giving back to the local trails rather than speed.

What to bring: your own mountain bike, a helmet, clothing for the weather, a rucksack, water and snacks. Litter-picking kit is provided.

Booking: free (£0.00 ticket), but advance booking is required and spaces are limited. Book on the Trash Free Trails event page.

Part of Autumn Trail Cleans 2026 from Trash Free Trails: "1 Weekend, 10 Trail Cleans... This Autumn our community are tackling trash in the places we love, together." Citizen science powered clean-ups run across the UK, from the Scottish Highlands to London canals. This year's focus is drinks containers, around 25% of the single-use pollution found on trails, ahead of the UK Deposit Return Scheme launching in October 2027. Want to run your own? Trash Free Trails has a host your own guide.
