The Wild Weekend is Girls That Ride Bikes' women's cycling and adventure festival, held at Hanford School near Child Okeford in North Dorset. It runs from 3pm on the Friday to 5pm on the Sunday. In the organisers' words it is "created for women and the wider FLINTA community", and "everyone who identifies within this space is welcome".
Riding: guided and self-guided road, gravel and mountain bike rides for a range of abilities. Mountain bike rides use the trails at Okeford Hill Bike Park, gravel routes and road routes go out into the Dorset countryside, and there are relaxed rides along the traffic-free North Dorset Trailway. E-bikes are welcome.
Off the bike: yoga and pilates, stand up paddleboarding on the River Stour, trail running, a wood fired sauna and ice baths, an outdoor swimming pool, talks and workshops, live music and evening entertainment, and a festival village with cycling brands.
Camping is on site, with space for campervans and tents and glamping tents available to book. The ticket includes two breakfasts and two main meals, fully catered, and upgraded shower and toilet facilities.
