British National Gravel Championships, Ae Forest, Dumfries

The Lloyds British Cycling National Gravel Championships at Ae Forest, Dumfries & Galloway, run by Outsider Events as part of the Gralba Series. Youth racing on the Saturday, the senior championship race on the Sunday: an 86km course with around 700m of climbing per lap, the big climbs acting as the selection points. Roughly 50% smooth gravel, 40% standard forestry road and 10% chunky stuff, mostly on the ascents. Entry is £55 and includes race insurance, medical support, a fully waymarked route, OTE nutrition at the feed stations and free event photography, plus a weekend festival programme of live music, talks and films, free workshops and yoga.
