Ride Sheffield Trail Day

Ride Sheffield Trail Day takes place on Saturday 11 April 2026 at NT RSPB Eastern Moors Partnership, Baslow Road, Totley, Sheffield, S17 3BQ. Organised by Ride Sheffield, this beginner-friendly session focuses on repairing and reinstating drainage on the bridleway at Barbrook.

The session is aimed at people who are new to trail repair as well as those with more experience. The day will include guidance on how drainage work helps protect the trail, followed by practical work clearing and creating drains, and filling some sections with natural, locally sourced material where needed.

Useful information

Parking is at the Eastern Moors Partnership office off Baslow Road. The event page notes that although it is nesting season, work on the track is expected to be suitable because of the level of disturbance in the area. There is also a small chance of adders being present, so participants are advised to stay aware while working.
